I never took Pristiq . but Effexor was nothing but hell for me. one of the worst meds I ever took. 75mgs wasn't bad. but 150mgs gave me extreme anxiety. hair loss. Involuntary muscle movements in my face and a weird emotion sensitivity to foods I ate.
and from what I read, Effexor is known for its side effects. maybe that's why they came out with Pristiq. I don't know anything about chemistry, but maybe they found it would be a more tolerable med.
