Brintellix seems to work better than Viibryd. I am interested in tryinng Brintellix myself. It should have fewer side effects than TCA. Let me know if you gain weight on it. I hope it works well for you.
It is easy to develop a love-hate relationship with drugs. I love them because they help me (although only moderately). I hate them because they have side effects and don't help me enough.
I once had drugs work well enough to bring me into full remission for an extended period of time. I still hope to find a treatment that will do that again, even if it means using a brain stimulation therapy. I am interested in the deep TMS (dTMS) type of magnetic stimulation as is effected by the Brainsway device.
I'm glad you are still being constructive. You don't need to be optimistic in order to make constructive decisions. It is logical to move forward rather than stagnate and remain stuck. Even if you abandon psychotropic drugs altogether, I'm sure you will keep moving forward using alternative therapies.
