I used to teach Pilates classes. It's great for strengthening your core muscles, toning your muscles and for increased flexibility.
If you're trying to lose weight, pilates alone will not help. You'll still need to do aerobic activity and watch what you eat. If you're already at your target weight, you should see results fairly quik from pilates.
