> not sure where to post this and it sounds a little stupid, but can drinking alot of alcohol, socially not everyday, more bingey I guess but not....send you into a depression? I know it IS a depressant...but is it THAT powerful with mood AFTERwards? Or could medication/alcohol interactions do it?

When I sought treatment for my depression, started therapy and medication, I would have TERRIBLE, EXCRUTIATING experiences if I drank once in a while. The depression would intensify, and the hangover was probably triple the pain and duration of my active alcoholic days.
So from a purely non-scientific POV I'd say that if you suffer from depression, are taking meds, and drink, then your depression will be worse. And I do think it's a reaction between what the meds are trying to do and what the alcohol undoes, and your poor brain is just writhing in agony between the two.
