Hi. I believe that alcohol can definitely cause depression, almost regardless of how often one may be drinking. Alcohol damages the brain, nerves, and all other functions of the body. I am not saying don't ever drink, I am saying be moderate and reasonable. Binging (say drinking 2 or 3 times a week several drinks) is very unhealthy, leads to dehydration, blood sugar irregularities, and so much more. There are many vitamins you can take to replenish the nutrients lost via drinking, B-Vitamins especially, however drinking water also will help flush the toxins faster from the body. Remember, it only takes 1 to 2 at the most (drinks) to be intoxicated to not drive or end up with a DWI/DUI for women and 2 to 3 for men. Good luck! Take those B's!
