My GP told me Friday he would call me back with a list of referrals of p-docs in the state I'm interning in right now (this is an out-of-state p-doc, so he'll know ones nearby).
This is necessary because A) my GP is overwhelmed to give me anything beyond Ambien (all I wanted was Ambien and Provigil). and B) my out-of-state p-doc has not answered my phone calls in a week and a half. He just mails in scripts.
Sorry for whining, but isn't it illegal or something not to return messages when you tell your doctor on the message to get back to you, that you visited the ER for chronic insomnia lasting 2 nights of no sleep, that the ER doc ordered you to follow-up with him, etc., etc.??
This is a p-doc who practcies psychopharma at one of the best med school teaching hospitals in the nation. I can't believe how careless he's been, just not returning any of my messages. I've been nice and everything, he's ignoring me.
