> I had been taking 2-3 capsules of Omegabrite a day even if I ate salmon that day for about a month. Last Monday after a big salad for lunch which included salmon I took 1 capsule. A few hours later I became suddenly quite ill. We all thought it was food poisoning and that the bagged pre-washed lettuce was the culprit.

But still that seems strange.I can't think of a mechanism, other that one you have now control over.....your primitive brain, the brain stem, makes observations about what makes us sick. It's not a precise thing, but if you got terribly sick after a particular meal, you can become nauseous every time you might face that food again. It happens. I can't eat bananas. I choked on one when I was an infant. The smell of a fresh banana makes me instantly nauseous. How likely this is, as an explanation, only you can say.
The other thing is to do an elimination and rechallenge. Stop all salmon and fish oil products, for two weeks. Then try them each, but separately. See how you feel.
BTW, I am majorly sensitive to bagged lettuce. They do something to it, that makes it most gnarly on my innards.
I can't see an obvious reason for your reaction to the second meal, unless you still weren't over an earlier bout of food-borne illness.
