My experience was quite similar -- it felt like an SSRI, only with the effects rather immediate. It made me anxious, possibly due to lower dopamine is my understanding as when one is boosted, the other may go down.
I also got a terrible stomach ache, but then I was taking the horse variety at the time so perhaps it was that.
