Me too except for breaking things. But the violent scream offers me more relief than cursing. Just make sure all the windows are shut;)

Why is it so unnatural that someone screams? I (and many others) have been taught as a baby that nobody loves you when you do that. Which is cruel. Childrearing has downsides, especially if it is done by dysfunctional parents. In Psychotherapy, I am only beginning to understand how all this affects me to this day.
This "nobody loves me if I complain" is not helpful in the adult world. As a child of dysfunctional parents (especially mother) it made sense. Now, having people step all over me, it is fatal.

I feel that the screaming helps me get in touch with my anger. It is helpful to be in touch with my anger in situations when it is needed. Like someone violating my boundaries.

Maybe not the only one on babble. There is this theory that depression is really aggression, which is directed towards the self.
