If you've done the research, as you say, then you'll know that unextracted (i.e. as you buy them) cough medicines contain other ingredients that are far more toxic in overdose than the DXM.
Maybe you could turn on your babblemail, and we could talk about this? (I'm Canadian, too.)

I've studied many of the same subjects that doctors study, but just in a different application. Once you understand how things work in one realm, it's not too big a task to look at similar scientific realms and understand them. I'm certainly no doctor, but then again, I wonder about some who are.
