Based on my symptoms (anergia from atypical-type bipolar II depression, difficulty w/ cognition, Tx-resistant social phobia) and a desire to avoid weight gain and hypotension from Nardil. Although I think they are both good drugs, and if the Parnate doesn't work I may well try out Nardil.
I will start in about two weeks (have to d/c my current antidepressant)
Questions - which I have asked before, of many people, but I like to ask them again, since my health and safety could be on the line:
What can I take for nasal congestion? Is Vick's inhalers (l-methamphetamine) okay? Other OTC sprays? Or just saline spray? (Pseudoephedrine and phenylephrine are out of course. I'm just wondering about others.) What about a corticosteroid spray, e.g. fluticasone?
What about opioid analgesics? I have heard conflicting information on them. Demerol is horrible, but some people respond well to oxycodone or codeine? (Also a relevant question should I ever need a cough suppressant. Can't take dxm.)
