I'm not sure that "right" is the word I would use. But I think I agree with his timing decision. It wasn't the time to discuss the trigger, it was the time to tell and feel the memory. I think I hope he would have done it in a less hurtful way so that you didn't feel so alone, or that he was guarded - I hate the blank slate approach. But I've had experiences where my therapist has said, "I don't think it would be helpful to you if I answer that." Ug - hate that!

The whole stinking process is painful - that is for sure. And I can see how introspective you are about the anger and other feelings he triggers. Which is good and yet painful too. I often wonder if therapy is easier if you are less psychologically sophisticated and given to more trusting of authority.
